FILL:7004:Collaborative 22/04--29/04

The last week to finish this project. I asked for photos of the person they say I love you to. It was too private the process was not that good..

The outcome of this project will be an envelope include their photo with frame and a portrait sketch which drew by me. After assessment I will send these letters. But one address was fake because a guy say I love you to his cat, this cat was already pass away. He say he will send this letter to haven to let him know he love him. Actually I don’t understand what this fine art guy think…

It seemed girls were like to share their stories and photo but boys say it was too private. I was rejected by 5 guy but it’ was okay I’ve got 11 pieces of final outcome…

NOT TOO BAD!!

FILL:7004:Collaborative 06/04--21/04

In these days, my project becomes to develop the story behind the words I love you.

It was basic on my research Asian people seldom to say I love you because they thought these words are too strong and if they want to shoe their love they just do it but don’t say it.

So that I invite 8 Asian girls to interview, they tell me the person who want to speak to and some stories between them. I draw illustrations for these stories and ask them to write i love you in their local language.

It was lucky girls are told different people I love you and made my project more varied.

Then I thought maybe it was possible to see how’s going with a boy. So that I found some boys to interview. It was obvious the feeling of a boy is totally different from a girl, most boys say they never tell these words to their parents even they already he love they deeply.

My project Is encourage people to say I love you even the truth is we don’t say is often but I think it was better to say it loud.

FILL:7004:Collaborative 10/03--17/03

In this week my project had a big change!

Last tutorial I found my project was lack collaboration aspect and is was not good for only drawing.

So that I tried another way of my collaboration project. My inspiration comes from a call from my Mom, she asked me how long I don’t’ say I love you to her. Then I began to think about how to speak out these words. In our Asian culture it was not directly to say these words out so that I made an Instagram frame and came to street to invited family and friends and lovers to join. I told them my project them is about ’I LOVE YOU’. To my surprise a lots of people wants to join and some of them are really enjoy it!

I give them my illustration postcard as a gift and I'm happy they all love it. It is also a way to let people know my work.

About my creepy dolls project I still continue to work on it. I receive a lots picture send by a lady who I asked her before and she is willing to help me.

And another lady also liked to join.

Although my creepy dolls project is not my final one but I still enjoy to draw those dolls by their photoes.

FILL:7004:Collaborative 18/02--10/03

In this 2 weeks my project has a big change.

Because of the story I already collected is not that specific and interesting so that after the suggestion of tutor and classmates I went to Kings cross train station to ask for more stories of travel alone. In that day I asked a lots people but they said they just travel for work, besides that they told me much about how boring the work is and train delayed sometime made them late for work. That’s not the story what I want!!

Until I asked a gentlemen who is not a traveler but he told me a very interesting story. He said he comes from Mexico and there is an island of dolls in his home country and there are very legend about it. It was an old island but now become a tourist sight and hundreds of dolls are on that island. There are creepy things happened at night such as you can hear dolls laughter and girls screaming. He said this island is more and more popular and many tourist liked to visit. The place is not far away from where he live so that he know this well. He recommend this to me and invited me to visit Mexico City.

After I back to school I watch a lots of documentary about it and I was really interested in!!! Then I begin to draw those creepy dolls.

In last tutorial I talk about what I’ve done so far and I let tutor see my sketch. Tutor agree that this topic is more interesting and more narrative than the previous one and she suggested me to do more collaborate aspect because it is a collaboration project. So that I search some information about it and I found there are a lots people come to visit this island and they share photo on Instagram. It was an exciting new! I try to write common to them and until today there is only one apply it and she told me this…actually I write at least 15 commons for different people!!

I think I will continue to contact them. I wish they can be positive…

FILL:7004:Collaborative 17/02--25/02

In this week my collaborators send me photo from their trip.

This girl went north Europ and she found that the view was totally different from west Europ where the place she lived. She said she loves people their and they are very friendly and kind.But I thought it was too normal to talk about a trip then i asked her is there something special in your trip.After she think for a while she told me she is a lesbian and she likes to go gay bar or lesbian bar for fun in her trip.Then i asked if she is willing to set this as her them for my project then it will be more specific and she said yes.So that i'm looking for her new photo and new story.(FIG01-02)

This guy travel to HK he meet a chief in a Japenese Resturant ,the chief asked him are their some Japenese Resturant in mainland China now? He said yes there are lot.Then the chief said what a big change! ......Actually i don't quite understans what he wants to say. Then i asked is he can tell me another story to me...(WHY SO MANY STRANGE STORYIS!!!)(FIG03-O4)

Another girl told me about her story which i thought it was a good story.She told me once she travel to Beijing she went to The echo wall  and there were lot children their. They spoke to the wall and their parents answered at the other side of the wall.She wants to talk to somebody but no one answered.She felt lonely.I think it is quite specific to states the common situation when we travel alone.

In the next week i will collect all the stories and finish first draft of sketch!!!

Please share a story you have the most impression.I went Temple of Heaven . There are lots of children there and they speak to The echo wall, their parents listened at the other side. But no one hear me.

In this girl's story i can understand during her trip she feel lonely but she also learned how to face that and she tell me once a person in a lonely situation she can deeply feel the value of everything what she owned before and when she back to social life she will know how to treat others.
